WANT TO HELP?

We are extremely grateful for every donation we receive. Thank you for your support and placing your trust in us.

How we work

We rescue elephants caught in the tourism industry and introduce them to protected forest in our projects across Thailand. Our approach ensures that elephants, the forest and the local community benefit.

LIFE: Living in the Forest with Elephants

Get away from it all at our LIFE project, nestled in over 90,000 acres of pristine protected cloud forest, located a stones throw from the border between Thailand and Myanmar.

A key focus of LIFE community is preserving their magnificent forest and the remaining elephants living there.

Here we offer one-of-a-kind trips to observe our elephants in their natural habitat and experience living in a Karen hill tribe community, learning about and being immersed their ancient and fascinating culture.

The elephants roam free all day, the mahouts earn a sustainable income by leading guests into the forest to see them, the community earn additional income from catering for guests throughout their stay, and the project facilitates our research program into the elephants behavioural and social ecology in their natural habitat.

MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE

Experience pure escapism on a 4-day trip to our site nestled in pristine cloud forest, perched at the top of a mountain. You will spend time observing the elephants alongside their skilled and knowledgeable mahouts and you will learn about authentic village life and take part in traditional cultural activities, such as fabric and basket weaving.

VOLUNTEERING

Make a difference on a 6-day volunteering trip.

Volunteering at our LIFE project has a strong focus on community, from both an immersive and assisting perspective.

Assisting with much needed projects throughout the community, as well as having the chance to learn about and try your hand at traditional fabric and bamboo basket weaving but also provide much needed help with community based projects.

There will also be opportunities to observe the elephants living and roaming freely, from a safe and respectful distance in the forest, and to learn about their natural behaviours and habitat.
